July and August are traditionally Tropea and Calabria's busiest months for the tourism industry. The area is transformed from the rather quiet holiday retreat that it is during the rest of the year and there will be many young party goers heading to the region as bars and clubs open up to cater for them. Expect beaches,bars and restaurants to be very busy at this time of year. Many Italians from the north of the country come down to enjoy the fabulous beaches and sunny climate. Attractions such as Zambrone Waterpark (see pic below) will be a great place to visit and is only 10 minutes from Tropea. The area is also popular with tourists from all over Europe as well as the US and other parts of the world. The whole region is well served by public transport and these train and bus services are much more frequent during the peak summer months.

With Tropea and surrounding areas becoming more popular with UK tourists, investors who have purchased in the area are seeing increasing rental demand for their properties. Calabria has a sunny climate for around 300 days per year and even the coldest time of the year is still very pleasant if you come from somewhere like the UK!
