Zambrone Village, Calabria

The stunning unspoilt region from Pizzo to Nicotera contains the most bathing areas in Calabria and a tourist panorama with a region steeped in culture, history and exquisite local cuisine.

This particular area which goes by the name of "La Costa degli Dei" (The Coast of the Gods) is a very attractive stretch of coastline with little bays of rocks and crystal-clear sea, tiny and enchanting coves and long, wide and golden beaches made of fine sand, embellished with the famous Mediterranean maquis which extends overall the coast. Fom the Serre Mountains to the with sandy beaches, The Coast of the Gods is literally heavenly!

This area is almost entirely covered by mountain chains, highlands and plateaux and it is joined to the rest of Italy by the Pollino massif which in the North, marks the region’s administrative boundary. The coast is splendid but equally suggestive is the region’s interior, where mountains and hills, furrowed by numerous water-courses-the very characteristic streams that lie stagnant in the valley and then turn into wide stretches of white gravel towards the mouths - slope down towards the sea.

Zambrone village is situated on a hill and surrounded by an oasis of colours and Mediterranean vegetation perfumes. It is mostly one of most developed tourist resort in Calabria. Zambrone is an important agricultural centre thanks to its floriculture, its stock-raising and to cereals, vegetables, olives and fruit growing, but above all, to the famous Tropea reddish-blue onion growing. The coastline, with sandy beaches and a long cliff, which includes Zambrone, Parghelia, Tropea, San Nicolò and Capo Vaticano is equipped by many tourist complexes and camping sites
